Our History

In 1974, Hank Aaron hit his 715th home run to beat Babe Ruth's record; Gerald Ford became president of the United States; and StoneMill Log Homes was founded in Knoxville, Tennessee. A lot of changes have occurred since then, but one remains the same. StoneMill Log Homes, family owned and operated, continues to provide innovation, quality, and satisfaction to its customers. Still situated in the valley of the Smoky Mountains in Knoxville, Tennessee; StoneMill Log Homes is a local company with an international reach and presence.

Our log homes and the way we do business reflect the influence of our Appalachian heritage. Solid. Dependable. Time tested. StoneMill believes in providing the most value and the highest quality to those who trust us with their dreams.

A Charter Member of the Log Homes Council; StoneMill Log Homes is also a member of good standing of the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau, and the National Association of Homebuilders.

Annette and I want to express our appreciation to you for helping us make our STONEMILL Log Home Dream a reality (we wish we’d made it happen 6 years ago when we first visited your company). We came into your business with a hand drawn sketch and you quickly coached us to modify/ design & build a home that met our lifestyle and retirement dream. This home brings our place in the Smoky Mountains to a “little heaven on earth!”
